Adobe Acrobat Reader
If you have Adobe Reader version 6 then you may experience some issues viewing pdf files
online. To correct this issue, make this minor adjustment to the settings:
- Open Adobe Reader
- Select Edit/ Preferences from the menu
- In the Preferences screen that comes up, click on Internet on the left hand menu
- Untick the top tick box called Display PDF in browser?
- Click OK and close Adobe Reader
When you now
choose the option to view pdf online you will now be given the option to open
it or save the file. Opening it will now open Adobe Reader in its own window
rather than inside Internet Explorer.
SmileyCentral
Some of you may have experienced some issues trying to enter your Job Number into the Data
Entry screen. It has been found that certain versions of the "SmileyCentral"
programme conflict with our Data Entry page, preventing users from accessing
their survey online. The only solution we know of is to remove "SmileyCentral"
from your PC.
To do this go
to Control Panel (via Start / Settings / Control Panel) and then Add/Remove
Programs. In the listed programs you need to select "My WebSearch"
- there may be two entries for My WebSearch. Both will have to be
removed from your system! This will instantly resolve the Date Entry issue.
If you still
have any issues please contact Market Pulse Operations via the usual channels.
